D.J. Tuttle, Project Manager, Omaha, Nebraska
D.J. is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a big “Wolverines” fan. D.J. served in the United States Navy for 24 years. His last deployment brought him to Omaha, Nebraska, where he and his family decided to stay.
D.J. was part of Navy Intelligence, which required him to travel around the world, including a tour in the Gulf War. After the Navy, D.J. started working in the security industry and eventually came to G4S.
D.J. has been with G4S since 2006, starting as a Custom Protection Officer with a flexible schedule that allowed him to go into different client sites and gain a lot experience in a short time. From there, D.J. became the Site Leader with one of the largest railroad transportation providers in the United States.
In 2007, G4S acquired more responsibility from the company, including monitoring all security for their high-tech and secure central dispatching center. At this site, D.J. became the Project Manager where he is in charge of meeting the client’s complex security requirements.
“I adapted very quickly to the work environment at G4S …I was in the right place at the right time here … it was very easy for me to adapt to the values of G4S because just like the Navy this company has very high standards,” D.J. said.
D.J. also mentioned, “I like working for G4S because every day is different and it brings new challenge whether is from our clients or from a member of my team … no two days are ever the same.”
