Randy Daniels, Training Manager, San Diego, California
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Randy is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served from 1971 to 1982 as a Law Enforcement and Correction Officer. After a tour in Korea in 1977, Randy was stationed in Riverside, California.
After his military service, Randy joined the Claremont Police Department in California where he spent many of his 22 years as a field training officer. After his retirement, Randy moved back to Florida and worked several jobs, but felt he wanted to do something related to training or security.
In 2007, Randy started working for G4S as a Custom Protection Officer. Instead of working a traditional post, he assisted the Training Manager and was assigned to several special projects. In 2008, Randy was promoted to Training Manager.
In 2010, Randy decided to move back to California to be closer to his family. “G4S gave me the opportunity to transfer back to California without any issues. I basically had a job waiting for me,” he said.
Randy started working for the Riverside office as a Field Supervisor. In 2011, he became the Training Manager for the San Diego area. He is responsible for ensuring that all G4S employees meet state compliance as well as company policies. Because we have so many clients with so many needs, all of our officers must receive constant training.
“I love working for G4S because it allows me to continue doing what I love to do, which is training and teaching … G4S has an excellent training program in place … it’s the best training program I have come across,” Randy said.
