Job Introduction:

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned client facilities . You will also provide support to the area office and site supervisors, ensure contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to the area, and ensure appropriate staffing levels. You are also the primary point-of-contact for all matters relating to each area facility and, as such, must coordinate closely with all operational, management, and administrative sections of the area office.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to his/her area
  • Work directly with clients to ensure highest quality of service is provided
  • Perform operations related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, issue uniforms, coordinate fleet vehicles, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Respond to calls from officers in the field to assist with incidents and to oversee/correct reporting and relaying of information
  • Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers. May directly supervise security officers.
  • Complete daily reports to ensure all field information is directed to the Area Supervisor IV
  • Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a State of Florida Class D Security Officer License and a Class G Statewide Firearms License
  • Must be a graduate of a certified federal, state, county, or local government agency training program for Law Enforcement Officer, Correctional Officer, or Military Police Officer

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience
  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year work experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Law enforcement experience
    • Service in Military Police
    • Graduate of Police/Corrections Academy

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed
    • Physical exam, if armed

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office with minimal work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; driving; standing; walking; listening; speaking; observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
