As an Assistant Director of Security, you will be responsible for the supervision of security officers, shift supervisors and assisting the Security Director. This position will act as G4S liaison with the client, law enforcement agencies, healthcare professionals, vendors, patients, and guests. You will also perform general security duties in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules and regulations of the client.

**$150 bonus payable after 6 months of continuous employment.  Bonus amount is subject to applicable federal and state income withholdings.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Assist the Security Director in daily supervision and project management
  • Provide supervision to Shift Supervisors, as well as overseeing the staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officers
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by G4S
  • Customer service; service as the management liaison between our internal and external customers
  • Perform other operations and related functions as needed (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history
  • Must possess one or more of the following
    • High-rise security experience
    • Security experience in a position involving extensive contact with the public
    • Customer service experience
  • Must possess a minimum of 20 years of experience in city, state or federal law enforcement with management experience

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Commercial Building; indoor; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major Activity:        Standing, interacting with the public

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some bending, limited stretching and reaching.
