As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements as well as act as the G4S liaison on behalf of the Project Manager with the client, customers and employees. You will also provide management oversight and drive operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes. This security professional will oversee contractual security operations for major industrial production and manufacturing facilities, business and research centers, and aviation assets with additional oversight of warehouses complexes.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide supervision to Site Supervisors and Security Officers (e.g., assist with customer relations, review post manning schedules, ensure Physical Security Surveys are updated regularly, and review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety)
  • Implement standard security operations at sites and ensure compliance through constant supervision along with monthly reporting requirements
  • Ensure that contract-required training for security personnel are up to date in accordance with quality assurance and contract compliance
  • Track inventory and request necessary security equipment
  • Coordinate with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager on staffing requirements
  • Work with supervisory staff to maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work experience showing aptitude for assisting in the operational management of a security business
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising a security workforce

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; walking to check post

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
