The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Director of Healthcare Training and Education. As a Director of Healthcare Training and Education, you will be responsible for the consistent deployment of healthcare training to G4S healthcare customers throughout the U.S.  He or she will routinely develop new programs to ensure G4S’ healthcare security personnel possess the most current information related to regulatory changes, healthcare incident trends and techniques to improve service delivery.  The Director of Healthcare Training and Education will be the primary instructor during new transitions.  He or she will work with the local training manager to ensure they are fully prepared to assume the healthcare training responsibilities post transition.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Manage training programs; develop, prepare, and teach appropriate training programs; ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records; conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g. state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses); data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Ensure that laws and regulations that might affect contract training requirements are reviewed and changes are implemented as necessary
  • Prepare compliance reports and to identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Coordinate, develop, deliver and manage employee training and development programs; conducts needs assessments; identifies training needs; develops and/or customizes training courses, content and materials; oversees and delivers training; evaluates effectiveness; and makes adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • ​Must possess one or more of the following:
    • College degree in criminal justice, education, healthcare administration or other related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training program/educational curriculum development

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or other healthcare facility
  • Minimum of 2 years of classroom instructor experience to include platform delivery of training
  • Work history must include demonstration of each of the following:
    • Ability to coach and motivate others
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple objectives with little to no direct supervision
    • Ability to be proficient in technical writing for the development of procedures and training manuals

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to travel with little to no advance notice
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected
