Job Introduction:

The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Global Training Program Manager. As a Global Training Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing a standardized, scalable training program that ensures that the uniformed services provided meets or exceeds the requirements set forth in policy, contracts, procedures, and applicable laws. In coordination with Global Data Center Security (GSDC) leadership, at each site, and other partners within the Global Security organization, the TM is responsible for guiding the training and instructional leadership of all data center security staff. This role will work with other GSDC personnel to build an assessment program for the security team. This position will develop computerized tools in a dedicated portal and with an optimized ability to review training records electronically as well as create proactive training plans based upon Data Center ongoing information analyses.  This role will involve some travel (approximately once per year to each site).

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions


  • Manage training program; develop, prepare, and on infrequent occasion teach appropriate training and exercise programs; ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records; oversee all training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g. state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses); data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Ensure that laws and regulations that might affect the contract are reviewed and changes are implemented as necessary
  • Prepare compliance reports and to identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Coordinate, develop, manage employee training and development programs; conduct needs assessments; identify training needs; assist local trainers in the development and/or customization of training courses, content and materials; evaluate effectiveness; and adjust as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs (assessment)
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • (Infrequent) Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • College degree in criminal justice, education, or other related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training program/educational curriculum development
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, certification in each of the following:
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
    • First Aid

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of classroom instructor experience to include platform delivery of training
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in different functionalities in the training department of a large enterprise
  • Work history must include demonstration of each of the following:
    • Ability to coach and motivate others
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple objectives with little to no direct supervision
    • Ability to be proficient in technical writing for the development of procedures and training manuals

*While not required, prior instructor experience in the Military or law enforcement industry is a plus!!

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Pursuant to the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 CFR 120-130, must be a United State Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Must be willing and able to travel with little to no advance notice
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on a PC, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
