The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Healthcare Security Director​. As a Healthcare Security Director, you will be responsible for G4S Secure Solutions’ healthcare business for a specific customer account.  You must have an acute awareness of the healthcare environment and the contract security business. You will be expected to provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the entire security leadership team.  This position will act as the company liaison with client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees.  This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.You will be primarily responsible for the retention and profitability of the healthcare business through excellent customer service delivery in collaboration with the General Manager.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between company  and client senior management
  • Project management: provide supervision to the Site Security Managers and Supervisors; oversee disciplinary processes; oversee the staffing of security officers to ensure efficient scheduling is in place; oversee that contract-required training and screening elements for security officers have been met, quality assurance and contract compliance; manage excessive overtime; typing correspondence, developing spreadsheets and memorandums; oversee records maintenance processes per G4S, client, and Joint Commission requirements; inventory and purchase all G4S equipment
  • Ensure that the planned profitability of all services is realized by utilizing sound financial management principles and continual review of appropriate management information reports (e.g., Profit & Loss, Job Profitability, Weekly Hours, budgeting, collections, etc.)
  • Ensure that G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. is providing quality service to our client(s) and that this account is operated in a manner consistent with established policies, contracts, and applicable laws; maintain an active, strong client relations program by making frequent personal visits to discuss any problems or recommendations for the improvement of service provided
  • General Human Resources management; including selection and placement, performance reviews, attendance management, conflict resolution; scheduling, and payroll
  • Review alarm system open/close reports, compile exception reports and forward to appropriate security manager/operations manager for review
  • Provide monthly report to the facilities and corporate security organizations detailing all pertinent activities that have occurred in the previous month concerning any security and safety issues
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Finance, Healthcare Administration or another related discipline
  • Meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work experience must include each of the following:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care Standards
    • Minimum of 5 years of security, safety, law enforcement, military or management experience
    • Work history to include demonstrated knowledge of security and safety inspections and electronic security systems

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a US Citizen (required for state security licensing)
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
