Job Introduction:

As an Investigative Analyst, you will provide customer service to our client, focusing primarily on the analysis of data collected through a variety of sources to identify opportunities to enhance the security program. This position will perform trend analyses to identify patterns used to determine preventative measures and produce required reports as needed and upon client request.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Evaluate the potential for future criminal activity, using analyses of historical intelligence data
  • Gather and evaluate information, using tools such as photographs, computer equipment, or sensitive radio equipment
  • Gather intelligence information by field observation, confidential information sources, or public records
  • Predict and report issues/events and their potential impact/threat to the organization and the organization's employees; proactively gather and compile information before events occur, assessing the level of significance
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, or charts based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence data
  • Operate cameras, radios, or other surveillance equipment to intercept communications or document activities
  • Operate multiple communications networks, to include desktop computer systems, intelligence systems, and other voice/data links
  • Understand and apply software manipulation, business logic, and the navigation and interfacing with other technology support organizations

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one of the following:
    • College degree in Information Security or related field
    • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) combined with two (2) years of work experience in information gathering, emergency communications or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any/all licenses, certifications, certificates required by law

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a security/law enforcement intelligence analyst, detective, or equivalent investigative responsibilities
  • Work experience to include use of graphical user interface systems, relational databases, and the internet
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate work environment

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to analyze data and information
  • Must be able to comfortably navigate internet
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor, office, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures

Major activity: Sitting, observing, listening, writing, speaking, working on PC

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
