The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Manager, Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC). As a RSOC Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Regional SOC team, its compliance to processes and procedures, as well as its alignment to emerging threats and incident trends.  The position will provide oversight and direction of the site and/or local SOC teams who regional emergency and non-emergency security system monitoring, event dispatch, and notification services.

The RSOC Manager has high visibility and direct responsibility for the effective and efficient operations of the RSOC and dependent SOCs, including:

  • Report generation incident monitoring/response.
  • Communications
  • Education to SOC members
  • Vulnerability management from a variety of sources.
  • Process refinement and implementation.
  • Project management
  • Cross-team/discipline collaboration
  • Maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relationships

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Assist in hiring SOC and RSOC personnel and taking appropriate disciplinary actions per policy
  • Manage a team of SOC Operators, Analysts, and Administrators with a primary mission to proactively prevent incidents
  • Collaborate with the other SOC Managers
  • Help employees realize their full potential by setting clear expectations, openly evaluating performance, upholding accountability, and providing challenges (within and outside their team) to expand employees’ skills
  • Develop training plans for SOC Analyst and Administrators, to include effective communication, technical skills, and response abilities
  • Responsible for Regional Corporate travelers’ program and notifications during an emergency
  • Manage project goals, plans, and risks, and hold team accountable on achieving agreed upon goals
  • Provide oversight of analysis activities and direct the activities of the team to ensure the effective resolution
  • Deliver assessments to senior leadership and recommend course of action to be taken
  • Help analyze findings in investigative matters, and develop fact-based reports of events over pre-defined periods of time
  • Work with other teams to identify shared goals and partner to achieve those goals efficiently
  • During a security incident, efficiently orchestrate analysts to respond and communicate effectively to SOC team and management
  • Responsible for driving daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for statistical threats and KPIs
  • Maintain awareness/knowledge of the current international environment, specifically as it relates to the client

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for employment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Security, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of Cyber/Physical Security Incident Response or Security Operations Center experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of Cyber/Physical Security Incident Response, Security Operations Center experience

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess prior work experience in a mission-critical environment to include each of the following:
    • Surveillance operations, emergency dispatch center management
    • Global mass notification platforms and systems

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including some nights and weekends
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
