As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for the overall administration of an area/branch office to include purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, credit and collections, payroll, and reception. This position directs and coordinates office services and related activities.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Direct supervision of applicable administrative and specialist positions and/or duties (e.g., payroll verification, applicant flow and hiring, unemployment and workers compensation reporting)
  • Purchasing: Staying within the prescribed budget for both office supplies and uniform needs to include postage forms, nametags, drug screening costs, and recruitment costs
  • Accounts Receivable: Ensure reports are printed, analyzed, and clients are contacted as appropriate for past due invoices. Generate reports for General/Branch Manager review
  • Accounts Payable: Code invoices for payment, ensure invoices are correct, set up new vendors in PeopleSoft, review Expense Reimbursements, and oversee drafts for licensing
  • Client Contact Management: Enter new clients into the PeopleSoft system; keep system updated, setup and review non-labor items for each client
  • Maintain various office files

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must be a minimum of 2 years of experience managing the administrative responsibilities of a high-volume office

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
