Job Introduction:

The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Operations Analyst Manager​. As an Operations Analyst Manager, you will provide customer service to a high profile client by performing a detailed analysis utilizing intelligence gathering and reporting techniques and methodologies.  The Manager is not a research position, but will be responsible for deciphering information, intelligence, and events in a meaningful way that will aid the business in mitigating risk, exposure, and impacts globally to its people, assets and brand.  The Manager will initiate intelligence reporting of all events deemed significant within a specified period of time, focusing primarily on proactive analysis and prevention.  This position will provide information that will be used by client and G4S Security Managers to make decisions regarding preventative measures, real-time response, as well as produce required reports and assessments as needed and upon client request.  This position requires the ability to work flexible schedules (shift work) as directed.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Operational management of the Operations Analyst team; selection and placement of Analysts, ensure compliance with Service Level Agreement, develop and implement training program, ensure scheduling and payroll matters are completed, complete Career Development Reviews for team members, conduct disciplinary action as required
  • Development of internal and external relationships with customers/clients to gain understanding and recognize their business intelligence requirements.
  • Collecting and validating intelligence, assessing the credibility of source information and the reliability of sources of information
  • Collaborating and liaising with both G4S and client staff to collate the essential elements of intelligence to develop and provide a comprehensive view of the whole risk, threat or business landscape
  • Establishing and maintaining efficient working relationships with the general public, public and intelligence offices of local, state, federal and international agencies
  • Gathering, disseminating and using the intelligence material in compliance client classification restrictions, legal, procedural and policies
  • Produces actionable intelligence information for delivery to security operations, executive management and customers in the form of technical reports, briefings, and data feeds
  • Proof-read briefings, white papers, executive summaries, attend meetings and perform other tasks that communicate and execute plans for the Operations Center Manager
  • Advise the organization on technical aspects of office administration/support functions to include providing internal reports/form control and file management; develop and implement office administration procedures
  • Participate in business continuity exercises, internal reviews and self-assessments

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have one or more of the following: 
    • Associate’s degree or higher in Intelligence Analysis, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Business, Economics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar
    • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in a security operations center
  • Must obtain and maintain active Security Officer License from North Carolina Private Protective Services Board

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work history to include strong use of information and communications technology
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the crisis management, emergency response, or emergency communications field

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to prepare and present complex intelligence reports, program performance and other relevant information in a professional manner, including written reports, verbal presentations and briefings to senior management
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to produce detailed, concise and timely work products under pressure. 
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office/Control Center; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting or standing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
