Job Introduction:

As a Project Manager, you will administer the security contract and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This position will act as the G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. liaison with client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees. This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide supervision to Site Supervisors, and security officers with no on-site supervision, on a 24-hour basis
  •  Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
  •  Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  •  Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S USA
  •  Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to his/her area
  •  Participate and make recommendations in selection and placement of security personnel to contracts in his/her area. Participate and make recommendations in progressive discipline and conduct performance appraisals of the same
  • Evaluate key performance indicators and ensure compliance
  • Conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g., state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses)
  • Determine and prepare appropriate training programs specific to local customer needs and ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite of products

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, State of Arizona Guard Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the State
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Prior security-related experience
  • Able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements and Environment:

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Managing, supervising, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
