In this position, you will be responsible for the management of all contractual security services for a high profile client in Lynchburg, VA. Currently this includes direct and indirect management of security staffing at two Lynchburg, VA locations.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all daily security operations; assist client facilities leader and team leader with projects, and operational issues as they arise
  • Act as the security focal point in the absence of the facilities leader or team leader
  • Serve as primary and on-site G4S Secure Solutions client liaison for local geographical area
  • Select, hire, train and evaluate security personnel
  • Oversee preparation of weekly payroll, required management reports and personnel actions
  • Communicate client concerns and issues to G4S Secure Solutions management
  • Attend meetings with the clients to ensure service needs are coordinated, met and provided per contractual guidelines
  • Insure all contractual security services are delivered in accordance with the client and G4S Secure Solutions' agreement
  • Communicate with security staff to ensure service needs are coordinated, met and provided per contractual guidelines
  • Enforce standardized policies and procedures for implementing contracted security requirements at all client Lynchburg facilities
  • Support special security staffing needs and cost effective management of all contracted security functions in contribution to the department's objectives

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) training for an unarmed Officer

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • Minimum two (2) years of contract security supervisory experience
    • Minimum two (2) years previous law enforcement
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in security operations/assessments, response, and planning

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat
