The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Regional Security Manager (RSM), Americas. As a Regional Security Manager, you will will have management and oversight of all contract security personnel and operations for a premier datacenter client, to include: direct management of 5-7 site-based leadership positions, all DC Security Operations Centers SOPs, performance management (planning and reviews), annual compensation adjustments, performance bonus initiatives, and provisioning of all staff members within their DC portfolio.  The RSM will be responsible for meeting established contractual Service Level Agreements to include: training (both state, country and mission-specific requirements), invoice accuracy, and program risk mitigation through proactive gap analysis, hyper focus on SOP execution, and ultimately reduction in policy violations. The RSM will drive Mission-critical goals such as developing a best in class Safety Culture and preserving the client’s culture through education, policy adherence, and ultimately leadership by example. The RSM will collaborate with their peer-group of Regional Trainers and the Global Data Administration Manager to effectively develop future program goals which are scalable and adaptive to the DC evolution.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Ensure contract training requirements are fulfilled (Basic, Additional, CPR/First Aid, Continuous Training, etc.)
  • Ensure all contractually defined security posts are staffed in accordance with the contract
  • Conduct regular assessment of direct reports to determine strengths and weaknesses, and develop plans to enhance strengths and performance.
  • Advise the Director of Strategic Accounts of sites’ staffing levels, operational status, and readiness.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of security personnel to ensure staffing requirements are consistently met
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews of direct reports and empower personnel through coaching and mentoring
  • Quarterly review and update (as necessary) General/Post Orders
  • Coordinate with Director of Strategic Accounts and G4S branch offices on recruiting, on-boarding, and training qualified candidates
  • Coordinate with Regional Trainer and Director of Strategic Accounts to provide effective weekly training and meetings with security officers
  • Coordinate with multiple G4S branch offices to ensure correct and timely payroll input
  • Manage overtime at all assigned locations within parameters defined by the Director, Strategic Accounts
  • Ensure compliance with contract provisions regarding client contacts at regional offices
  • Conduct security Operational Assessments at each DC site on a quarterly basis
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct additional projects within geography (escorts, construction)
  • Plan and conduct drills and tests to ensure security personnel can perform their assigned duties in accordance with the contract and accepted security industry best practices

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following credentials:
    • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of management experience in physical security operations
    • Associate’s Degree plus 7 years of management experience in physical security operations
    • 10 years of management experience in physical security operations

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in delivering training to security officers
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience managing employees working at remote sites
  • Must have a system manager level training with a minimum of 3 years of experience with integrated access control software, preferably Software House C*Cure
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold/heat

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
