As a Scheduling Specialist, you will serve as a direct link between G4S Secure Solutions National Communications Center and G4S Flex Officers. The Scheduling Specialist is directly responsible for the communication, dispatching and/or scheduling Flex Officers for service requests/changes provided by G4S Secure Solutions National Communications Center and G4S customers.  This position includes maintenance of schedules in G4S Labor Scheduling System and the oversight of data entry in the Labor Scheduling System.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide assistance to the Operations Manager in monitoring non-billable overtime
  • Coordinate OJT (on the job training) for Flex Officers with Site Supervisors, Account Mangers, Clients
  • Schedule, manage call offs and vacation requests for the Flex Officers
  • Data entry in G4S Labor Scheduling System
  • Answering phones, responding to email communications
  • Dispatch service requests to field supervision
  • Provide response to G4S National Communications Center with resolution to schedule/service requests
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline
    • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable related work experience in security industry
    • Minimum of one year of verifiable supervisor/management experience
    • Service in the active duty military, military reserve or National Guard
    • Service in auxiliary police or cadets

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; indoor with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching, and reaching
