Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Operator at our corporate headquarters in Jupiter, Florida. The Communications Center is a 24/7 operation that provides G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. customers and employees with a means to contact a G4S supervisor at all hours. The Operator serves as the customer support link between our customers, our local offices, and the general public while providing general telephone services to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc.'s Corporate Headquarters. This position also provides radio dispatch support to the Florida Region.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Answering phones; operate IP based telephone system
  • Operating radio; use multi-channel communications
  • Call logging; data entry in PeopleSoft
  • Strategic Accounts support; creating service requests
  • Headquarters support; call routing
  • Operations support; routing of call information to field supervision

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in the active duty military, military reserves or National Guard
    • Two years' minimum experience in a related field (call center, dispatch, or command/control center)
    • College degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Business Administration coupled with 2 years' minimum work experience involving direct interaction with clients/customers


Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Able to pass a call center skills assessment instrument

Skills Required

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • While not required, the ability to speak, read, and write the Spanish language is a plus!
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Ability to research, investigate, compile information
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, principles
  • Ability to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy


  • Must be 18 years of age or the minimum required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures

Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
