The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Data Center Site Trainer. As a Data Center Site Trainer you will oversee all training of security personnel at his/her assigned data center. The Site Trainer will ensure that all mandated on-the-job training and advanced security training is implemented in an effective and timely manner.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Supervise security officer training program; develop, prepare, and teach appropriate training programs; conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel at assigned data center; data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Able to deliver appropriate course content and motivate trainees by implementing effective training methodologies in both classroom and practical/hands-on situations, use a variety of methodologies, techniques, and learning tools to maximize training effectiveness
  • Mentor and supervise Compliance Officers in all matters related to security officer training
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programs, prepare compliance reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Ability to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state
  • Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, education or other related major
  • Documented coursework and/or training in the delivery of adult educational material

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of two years of experience delivering traditional classroom instruction, computer-based training, and/or on-the job training
  • Work history must indicate a proficiency in training methodologies, curriculum development, and course design

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be proficient at utilizing current computer-based training technology and related equipment in the delivery of on-the-job training and advanced security training programs
  • Must be willing to work across shifts as needed to facilitate training needs
  • Must be willing and able to travel on occasion and on short notice
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling
