The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Security Program Coordinator. As a Security Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for building the support structure for the Data Center security program and will work with multiple business groups to identify and define requirements, scopes and objectives for the creation of security standards for the different types of data center. The Security Program Coordinator will set standards for data centers in high risk locations and establish safety and security guidelines for travelers while creating, maintaining and periodically reviewing comprehensive program documentation, plans and reports.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Identify and define requirements, scopes and objectives for the creation of security standards for the different types of data center
  • Assign program tasks to internal team members and track progress to completion
  • Coordinate program management activities and resources
  • Utilize technology tools to monitor projects and tasks and identify issues/roadblocks
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure program effectiveness
  • Identify and escalate program risks
  • Participate in bi-weekly management meetings providing feedback and suggestions in regards to security.
  • Establish relationships with hosted data center providers and ensure escalation/notification processes are regularly verified and tested
  • Support the data center visitor programs as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable State licensing or certification requirements
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess on or more of the following:
    • Associate’s degree in criminal justice, information technology, or related degree with 3 year of work experience in security program management
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in security program management

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Work history to include all of the following:
    • Demonstrated understanding of security operations
    • Knowledge of card access, security and safety systems
    • Strong managerial skills and the ability to assert oneself
    • Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills
    • Working knowledge of best practice processes and involvement in one or more security projects
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
