As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  This position will act as the G4S liaison on behalf of the Director Strategic Account with the client, customers and employees.  This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.  Oversight includes the contractual security management of four separate facilities, encompassing office buildings, research centers, and aviation assets.  The Project Manager must be capable of interacting with security representatives of each separate facility, while managing all logistical needs of each separate facility.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide supervision to Assistant Project Managers, Site Supervisors and Security Officers (e.g., oversee customer relations, ensure Physical Security Surveys are updated regularly, and review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety)
  • Implement standard security operations at sites, and ensure compliance through constant supervision
  • Ensure that contract-required training for security personnel are up to date in accordance with quality assurance and contract compliance
  • Track inventory and request necessary security equipment
  • Coordinate with the Director Strategic Account on staffing requirements
  • Work with supervisory staff to maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work experience showing aptitude for assisting in the operational management of a security business
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a security workforce

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:        Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:       Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching.
