The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Site Manager. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  This position will act as G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. liaison with client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees.  This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes.  This position is the primary point of contact for human relations functions involving G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. employees.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between company and client senior management
  • General Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to corporate security when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures including worldwide business standards
  • General Human Resources management; including selection and placement, performance reviews, attendance management, conflict resolution; scheduling, and payroll
  • Review alarm system open/close reports, compile exception reports and forward to appropriate security manager/operations manager for review;
  • Provide monthly report to the facilities and corporate security organizations detailing all pertinent activities that have occurred in the previous month concerning any security and safety issues
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, each of the following Instructor-level certifications:
    • Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • First Aid
    • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in one of, or a combination of, each of the following:
    • Military (Career Military/Military Police/Military Elite Forces)
    • Law Enforcement (Police Academy Graduate) or as a Corrections Officer in an adult detention facility
    • Work experience in private security at a high profile, safety and security sensitive facility requiring direct customer interaction
    • Associate’s degree or higher in a security related field such as: law enforcement, criminal justice, security administration, Homeland Security, or fire science combined with 1 year of experience in one of the above
  • Must possess formal training or prior work experience with de-escalation methodology/practice
  • Work history must include the demonstration of the ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy; conduct rational dialogue with individuals; interpret behavior and emotional patterns in individuals and groups
  • Work history must include demonstration of the ability to effectively manage others and employ coaching and problem-solving techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with the management/evaluation/development/motivation of a team
  • Demonstrated experience with analyzing information, staffing coordination, tracking budget expenses, scheduling, and dealing with complexity
  • Ability to supervise subordinates through the transmission of values, standards, and culture with an understanding of one’s influence on others
  • Prior educational or professional experience in management, human relations, interpersonal communication skills, labor and criminal laws, and emergency response

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to exercise sound operational judgement, remaining calm and working well under pressure
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
