Job Introduction:

The Training and Compliance Manager oversees and manages the compliance of G4S operations assigned to designated sites as well as provides training in all areas related to Compliance and Operations.  This position will ensure compliance in accordance with State, Federal, G4S policies and procedures and contract requirements and provide contract specific training required by the customer prior to and during the deployment of officers.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Maintain compliance of administrative policies, hiring procedures, safety rules and continual employment regulations; responsible for the review of all employee files/records to ensure compliance with state, federal, contract and company policies
  • Maintain compliance records and produce reports for the Director of Operations
  • Ensure overall contract compliance regarding employee basic and preferred qualifications, screening, training, and licensing
  • Research, investigative, and compile information; sort and interpret data; communicate facts and ideas clearly both orally or in writing; solve problems creatively, logically, and practically
  • Determine and prepare appropriate training programs specific to local customer needs and ensure proper inclusion in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records
  • Conduct and/or oversee all training for officers reporting to project management (e.g., state licensing, contract specific, annual refresher courses)
  • Maintain all training records required to satisfy contract requirements and prepare and disseminate training reports as directed by management

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
  • A valid and current State of California driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of classroom instructor or field training experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting audits and compliance inspections

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must submit to a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; limited exposure to extreme temperatures when outdoors.

Major or special activity:  Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
