Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This position will act as the G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. liaison with client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees. This position is also responsible for providing management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes. This position is the secondary point of contact for human relations functions involving company employees. When not assisting the manager the officer will work in the security communications center and be responsible for all duties and functions of that assignment. This position will oversee contractual security operations for major business centers and retail assets.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Utilize SharePoint sites and Microsoft Office Suite programs to generate reports and access security related information in order to conduct analysis
  • Manage overall project by working with supervisors and officers; selection and placement, development, commendation and discipline
  • Coordinate time and attendance with Project Manager
  • Monitor training requirements and micro-training with Project Manager; develop and implement methods to mearure effectiveness of training programs and recommend/implement improvement
  • Conduct analysis of known threats to the client's operations, and create customized analytical reporting products
  • Make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain an unarmed security guard card issued by the State of Arizona

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience
  • Work history must include each of the following:
    • Understanding of security operations
    • Knowledge of card access, CCTV, security and safety systems
    • Ability to act in a decisive manner in emergency situations
    • Managerial skills and the ability to assert one's self
    • Planning, organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be flexible and be able to work traditional and nontraditional work hours as so determined by an event or circumstances
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive issues
  • Ability to multi-task and manage groups in an environment with little to no direct supervision
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
