The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Security Coordinator (Plans and Programs). As a Security Coordinator, you will be responsible for documenting the physical security program for the client’s data centers. They will work with multiple business groups to identify requirements, scopes and objectives for the creation of data center physical security standards. The Security Coordinator will effectively decipher and write plans and manuals related to the safety, security and protection of data center assets. The Security Coordinator will create, maintain and periodically review program documentation, plans and reports.  The Security Coordinator  will collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize both departmental and company goals and objectives. They will interface with Global Security Key Stakeholders to plan and prioritize activities.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Completes security risk assessments for assigned locations
  • Produces comprehensive reports, assessments, meeting minutes, project coordination documents and meeting agendas
  • Multi-tasks and prioritizes assignments across numerous concurrent projects
  • Works collaboratively across multiple stakeholder and client groups
  • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively and independently with minimal supervision
  • Establishes relationships with hosted data center providers and ensures
  • Escalation/notification processes are regularly verified and tested
  • Demonstrates broad security and construction related technical competencies including knowledge of electronic security products and systems
  • Projects a cooperative and positive attitude towards customers, employees, team members and the client company
  • Develops understanding of MS Office tools
  • Applies the defense in depth methodology to develop solutions for the data center environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, any/all licenses, certifications, certificates required by law

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of 5 years of security operations experience, preferably within a data center environment
  • Work history must include the following:
    • Ability to work effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up
    • Prior experience with security program development and associated documentation
    • Prioritization and use of available tools to manage high volumes
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
    • Demonstrated understanding of security systems to include access control and CCTV
    • Project management

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • A minimum of 5 years of security operations experience, preferably within a data center environment
  • Work history must include the following:
  • Must be able to work effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up
  • Must have prior experience with security program development and associated documentation
  • Prioritization and use of available tools to manage high volumes
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
  • Must have demonstrated understanding of security systems to include access control and CCTV
  • Must have project management experience
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching, and reaching.
